KoMo Background Info

KoMo mills bring together the talents and resources of Peter Koidl and Wolfgang Mock (KOidl + MOck = KoMo), who have a combined experience of nearly a half century designing and manufacturing household grain mills. In the late 1970s, Wolfgang began to experiment with whole grains in his diet, and quickly found no good options avaiiable to grind the grains -- certainly nothing comparable to the quality level of other household appliances. So he got busy, and as Germans have a tendency to do, he got serious about it....From his early efforts the Hawo grain mill company was started, which established itself during the 80s as the leading supplier of European household mills. Mock eventually left this company, but stayed in the business with his own company.

Meanwhile, as the market for natural products in Europe matured, others began to manufacture grain mills, grain flakers, and related equipment, including Peter Koidl from his home in picturesque Kitzbuehl, Austria. These two millmeisters joined forces in the late 90s, and continue to refine and improve the KoMo line of products in ways that neither one alone could do. It has been a great team, and their products only confirm their successful cooperation.
