Their goal was to create an intimate retail environment, in which the customer could personally experience pure and natural fragrances and aromatic products, and learn to share their love for the power and vitality of these natural substances. The founders always strove to integrate their own enthusiasm for aromatics and aromatherapy into their daily work ethic.
Their efforts paid off. Farfalla evolved gradually from an insider tip to a recognized leader on natural aromatics. The original Farfalla shop in Zurich prospered, leading to four more shops opening in Switzerland. The range of Farfalla-branded products has grown to include many wellness and personal care products, and these products are distributed throughout Europe to leading spas, wellness centers, aromatherapy specialists, and natural product retailers. The company's deep expertise with essential oils and aromatherapy provides it distinct advantages over other natural cosmetic lines in the manufacture of body care and skin care products.
Farfalla products are all certified natural by the BDIH - European "threshold" standards which Farfalla products, in general, far exceed. Farfalla also works with other certification agencies, such as Demeter and IFOAM, to ensure the best possible, organic and/or biodynamic raw ingredients. All oils, herbal extracts, and most of the essential oils used in Farfalla products are certified organic and/or biodynamic.
The steady growth of Farfalla provides full employment to over seventy individuals in a healthy working environment consciously based on trust and mutual respect.
