Mineral cleansers function differently
Soaps and shampoos clean by reducing
the surface tension of water, allowing it to rinse away dirt and oil particles more easily.
Ghassoul and Kaolin work in a different manner. When combined with water, the tiny clay particles
swell to form a homogeneous gel with an enormous absorption capacity. The gel binds particulates
and excessive oil, much as an ink blotter, and rinses away readily with water. Washing with Logona
Ghassoul or Kaolin never removes too much of the oils in your hair or skin, as aggressive soaps
and shampoos often do. Nor will these cleansers strip the protective acid mantle layers of your
skin, or irritate sebaceous glands.
